Stainless Steel Sheets

With its thin structure, stainless steel sheet is a material without the risk of corrosion, which can be presented either in coils, sheets or plates. It can be produced in different forms depending on the demand and usage area. Stainless steel sheet and plates produced between 0,4 and 50 mm thickness has got weight range from 6,4 to 1800 kg. The product, which is cut according to the desired dimensions by laser cutting machine, becomes so durable thanks to the chrome element.

The fact that stainless steel is 100% recyclable also enables the material to be recovered. French scientists first found the resistance of iron and chromium mixture to rust, and brought stainless steel to the industrial sector. Afterwards, many R&D studies were carried out on stainless steel, and accessed to the products used today.

Firstly, stainless steel sheet was produced in 1944 for the production of sulphite paper. Today, the usage area covers a very wide range. Usage of stainless steel sheet plays an active role in hot water systems, washing machines, chemical research, construction of ovens, tire production, photography sector, steam boilers, oil discharge facilities, refractory sector, food processing industry, architecture, textile, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, marine industry so on. There is no doubt that the usage areas will expand even more, thanks to the new stainless steel sheet models that are coming out day by day.
